These days, the Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Diaghilev, a brilliant ballet entrepreneur, a true revolutionary in the theatrical field, the creator of the ballet of the 20th century!
The exhibition includes 13 stage costumes made according to the sketches of Leo Bakst, Nicholas Roerich, Alexander Golovin, Natalia Goncharova, Henri Matisse, the incredibly beautiful scenery for the play “Polovtsian Dances”, more than 200 graphic works, photographs of ballet performances with famous étoiles and manuscripts .
