State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin Museum is one of the largest Russian art collections of foreign art from ancient times to the present day.

Date of foundation of the Museum of Fine Arts. A.S. Pushkin is considered August 17 (29), 1898.

The museum occupies five buildings – the Main Building, designed by the Moscow architect R.I. Klein, the building of the Department of Personal Collections, the Art Gallery of Europe and America of the 19th-20th centuries, the Museion Children’s Center and the Lopukhins’ City Estate of the 17th-19th centuries.
