“The Novaya Opera” Theater opens the season with a premiere – the first Russian production of the opera Stiffelio!

This undeservedly forgotten work anticipates the famous triad of the composer, his best operas: Rigoletto, Il trovatore and La traviata.

The libretto is based on a unique lyrical drama about a Protestant priest named Stiffelio, forced to forgive his beloved but unfaithful wife.

The premiere screenings will take place on September 20, 22 and 24, 2022.
